Prof. Zhao Yang Dong, The University of New South Wales, Australia (IEEE Fellow)
Prof Dong is a Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His previous roles include SHARP professor and Director of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute at the University of New South Wales, and Director of Australian Research Council Research Hub for Integrated Energy Storage Solutions. He also worked as Ausgrid Chair Professor and Director of the Ausgrid Centre for Intelligent Electricity Networks providing R&D support for the AUD500m Smart Grid, Smart City national demonstration project of Australia. His research interests include power system planning and stability, smart grid and smart cities, renewable energy systems, electricity market, and computational methods for power engineering applications. He has served/is serving as an editor for a number of IEEE Transactions and IET journals. He is an international scientific advisory board member of the African Center of Excellence in Energy for Sustainable Development (ACE-ESD).
Keynote Speaker II
Prof. Dennis Y.C. Leung, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Prof. Dennis Y.C. Leung received his BEng (1982) and PhD (1988) from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He had worked with the Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. for five years heading the air pollution section of the company before joining the University of Hong Kong in 1993. Professor Leung is now a full professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering specializing in environmental engineering and renewable & clean energy. He has published more than 500 articles in these two areas including 350+ peer reviewed SCI journal papers. His current h-index is 82 and total citations are 40,000+. He is one of the top 1% highly cited scientists in the world in energy field since 2010 (Essential Science Indicators) and named as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics for the past six years consecutively from 2017 to 2022. Prof. Leung has delivered more than 80 keynote and invited lectures in many international conferences. Prof. Leung is a chartered engineer, a fellow of the IMechE, Energy Institute and HKIE. He was also the Past Chairman of the Institute of Energy (HK Branch), and currently serves as an editorial board member of a number of journals including Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, and Applied Sciences. Prof. Leung also serves as a board member of the Hong Kong Institution of Science, chairman and member of a few committees of the HKSAR government and government’s appeal board panels related to sustainable energy and environment.

Prof. Wang Yupeng, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China
Yupeng Wang is a Professor and the Assistant Dean at the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, the University of Kitakyushu, Japan. He has the working experience as an urban planner in NIKKEN SEKKEI, the largest architecture and planning firm in Japan, and the research experience in the Heat Island Group at the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Concordia University for sustainable urban planning, funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada. He has a wide range of research experiences including environmental modeling and evaluation, sustainable urban planning, urban vegetation and climate change mitigation, and published more than 30 journal papers. Because of his interdisciplinary educational background, research experiences and work experiences, he has received a “Hundred Talents Project” of Shaanxi Province, China in 2017, “Person of the Year” from Scientific Chinese magazine in 2018, “AIUE-O Prize” from Asia Institute of Urban Environment in 2019, and “Award of Excellence Young Scholar” from The International Society of the Built Environment in 2020. He currently serves as an Editorial Board Member for Indoor and Built Environment, Guest Editor of Buildings, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and Sustainability.
Keynote Speaker IV
Chair Prof. Zongjin Li, University of Macau, Macau
Dr Zongjin LI is Chair professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. He received his B.E. from Zhejiang University in 1982 and obtained both his M.S. and PhD from Northwestern University, Chicago, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He is a fellow of American Concrete Institute, Chair of China Group of RILEM and Founding President of ACI China Chapter. As the chief scientist, he has led a China Key National Basic Research Project (973), ‘Basic study on environmentally friendly contemporary concrete’ that promoted the concrete research in China to a world-class level. He also founded the Gordon Research Conference, ‘‘Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure Development’ in 2014. He is pioneer in noncontact resistivity/impedance measurement for cement-based materials and lead the research activities in this area for about 20 years. He also developed cement-based piezoelectric and opened a new direction for civil engineering. The methodology he developed to utilizing the in-situ polymerization of monomer during cement hydration process has shown a strong effect in enhancing flexural strength of cement-based composite. He has published 5 technical books, in which ‘Advanced Concrete Technology’ published by John Wiley has been collected by many national libraries and major university libraries and used by many universities as text or reference books for civil engineering. He has also published more than 400 technical papers with a Google Scholar citation of 25582 and H-index of 88. He has also been awarded eight US and twenty Chinese patents. Three of his patents have been developed into commercial products. He received the Arthur R. Anderson Medal from American Concrete Institute in 2017 and Distinguished Visiting Fellowship Award from British Royal Academy of Engineering in 2014.

Prof. Caizhi Zhang, Chongqing University, China
Dr. Zhang is a Professor in Chongqing University (CQU). He obtained his PhD from Nanyang technological university (NTU) in 2016 and subsequently working as a research associate and research fellow in NTU, Singapore. Now, he is a supervisor of doctoral students and the leader for the hydrogen and fuel cell vehicle lab in the college of mechanical and vehicle engineering @ CQU. He also serves as a researcher in the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmissions and Chongqing Automotive Collaborative Innovation Centre, Chongqing University. He has extensive experience in hydrogen, fuel cell and fuel cell system since Sept. 2008. He has published more 80 papers. He severs as reviewer of several Journals, such as Applied Thermal Engineering, Energy conversion and management, AIP Advances, International journal of hydrogen energy and fuel cells. Dr. Zhang is the outstanding reviewer of Energy, Applied Energy, Energy conversion and management and International Journal of hydrogen Energy. He participated and in charge of more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial-level projects, such as 2 new energy vehicle projects of the national key research and development program in 2018 and 1 project of the youth national foundation of China.
